Principal Network Engineer

I’m currently partnering with a leading global organisation to find a Principal Network Engineer to join their team in Ireland (Cork or Dublin).

This is a senior, hands-on role with real impact — perfect for someone who thrives in complex, high-scale environments.

What you’ll be doing: Designing and delivering resilient data centre, campus, and WAN network solutions Driving large-scale network initiatives from design through to Day 2 operations Leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical issues Collaborating across infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions Ensuring robust monitoring, scalability, and operational readiness What we’re looking for: 12–15 years’ experience across enterprise networking (DC, campus, WAN, hybrid cloud) Strong expertise in routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN) Experience with Cisco, Arista, HPE, or Aruba technologies Solid understanding of network security principles and high-availability design CCNP (or higher) preferred Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence stakeholders Nice to have: SD-WAN, network automation, F5, VPN, or NAC solutions (ISE/ClearPass) What’s on offer: Competitive salary + strong benefits package 25 days annual leave Private healthcare & pension Stock purchase plan Volunteer days & wellbeing perks Opportunity to work in a globally recognised, high-performing organisation Location: Cork or Dublin- x4 Days Onsite If you believe you have the above experience and are interested in hearing more, then reach out to Killian O’Callaghan @Cpl Cork on 021 4944867 for a confidential conversation #LI-KO2 #plus
