**Infrastructure Engineer | Financial Services **

  • One role, full ownership

  • Projects, not just tickets

  • Enterprise scale, real autonomy

The role that actually matches your experience.

Most engineers at this level have spent years being the person everyone else calls when it gets serious. They fix the unfixable, own the messy ones, and quietly keep complex environments running. Then they update a ticket and wait for the next one.

This role is different.

The organisation is large, multi-site, and operationally demanding, which means the infrastructure challenges are real, the projects are substantial, and the decisions you make actually matter.

You will not be firefighting in isolation. You will be shaping how the environment evolves, leading projects with your name on them, and working with a team that respects technical depth and rewards ownership.

At Level 3, you are the authority, not the last resort. That distinction matters. It means you are involved earlier, trusted further, and given the kind of autonomy that most senior engineers spend years trying to find.

What you will be responsible for

  • L3 escalation across server and infrastructure issues on a multi-site estate

  • Full lifecycle ownership of the incident’s root cause, resolution, prevention, and documentation

  • Infrastructure project leadership from initial scoping through to delivery

  • Administration and optimisation of Windows Server (2016–2022), Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO), VMware v8.x, O365, Azure AD, Exchange, backup and recovery platforms, and enterprise networking (TCP/IP, VPN, LAN/WAN)

  • Audit support across ISO 27001, SOX, NIST, and client-facing reviews

  • Mentoring junior engineers and raising team capability

What you bring

  • Proven L3 or senior infrastructure experience with real troubleshooting depth

  • Strong hands-on knowledge across Windows, virtualisation, and networking

  • Experience in a regulated or enterprise environment

  • A mindset that looks for the systemic fix, not just the quick patch

  • Clear communication with both technical peers and business stakeholders

  • Microsoft or VMware certifications are a plus

What is on offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits

  • Hybrid working, Dublin-based

  • A stable senior role in a well-governed, people-focused organisation
