About the Position

My client is looking to recruit a Senior Technical Cloud Architect who will be part of a collaborative team working on a high-profile project within their Regulatory Finance Technology division. This position is for a highly experienced professional, providing technical leadership across Cloud migration and platform modernisation initiatives & ensuring implementation of a scalable, secure and compliant architecture in line with the requirements of Financial Regulatory Reporting landscape for a Tier 1 global financial institution.

Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise cloud architecture principles and standards
  • Design scalable, resilient cloud solutions for regulatory reporting platforms
  • Develop cloud migration strategies based on AWS & SaaS capabilities (both single and multi-tenant frameworks)
  • Align cloud architecture with regulatory, security and data governance requirements
  • Lead architecture governance and design reviews
  • Optimize cloud performance, scalability and cost efficiency
  • Drive adoption of infrastructure as code and automation
  • Design data architecture supporting regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ensure data lineage, traceability and auditability
  • Support reconciliation and data quality frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with regional data residency and regulatory constraints
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise SDLC, cloud governance, and regulatory control frameworks
  • Ensure ongoing communication with Architectural governance stakeholders on architectural changes
  • Support Technology delivery across multiple regions (US, EMEA, APAC, Canada and LATAM) & as per the global migration plan - work closely with internal Technology teams as well as Vendor Delivery teams
  • Responsible for working with the business partner teams (across Finance, Risk & Regulatory Reporting) globally
  • Partnering with internal BofA compliance groups & vendor partners to ensure that data/system security policy is adhered to across the portfolio in accordance with stated standards and processes
  • Alignment of program target operating model, roadmap, migration strategy and delivery plans with the Global Reg Cloud Architecture
  • Work closely with key business subject matter experts, development and testing teams across the organization to produce business requirements associated with business, operational and technical changes
  • Participate on Project Working Groups/engagements/meetings with external & internal teams to monitor delivery progress.

RequirementsEssential Role Competencies

  • Extensive experience of large-scale Cloud Migration initiatives for global Financial Institution(s)
  • Strong cloud architecture and design expertise with large vendor cloud migrations.
  • Strong technical experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Experience in financial services and regulatory reporting platforms (preferably AXIOM)
  • Experience working across global delivery environments
  • High level understanding of financial regulations and key asset classes such as Debt, Equity, Commodity etc.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; applicable for managing up and down the technology chain, as well as working with business partners from multiple disciplines with differing priorities across multiple, global locations
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely
  • In depth knowledge of delivering within Scaled Agile & hybrid delivery models

Remuneration Package

This role offers a competitive daily rate (700-900 per day, DOE), and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
