About the Position
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for developing and operating advanced AI solutions that support business-critical workflows.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, and maintaining production-grade agentic AI systems. You will work on complex AI applications involving agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), workflow automation, and large-scale system integration.
The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with practical experience building AI-powered applications. You will play a key role in designing reliable, scalable, and secure solutions while collaborating closely with engineering, architecture, and business teams.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and wants to work at the forefront of enterprise AI adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate production-grade agentic AI systems using Python
- Build and maintain agent workflows using LangGraph or similar orchestration frameworks
- Design and implement context management strategies for multi-step and long-running AI processes
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources
- Integrate AI applications with existing enterprise systems through APIs and event-driven architectures
- Design orchestration patterns for agents, tools, workflows, and human-in-the-loop processes
- Ensure AI systems are scalable, reliable, secure, and production-ready
- Identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks, failure points, and operational risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to architecture discussions and promote engineering best practices across the team
- Support ongoing optimisation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI solutions
Experience/Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python development skills
- Proven experience building and deploying AI-powered applications in production environments
- Hands-on experience with LangGraph or similar agentic workflow orchestration frameworks
- Strong understanding of agent architectures, orchestration patterns, and workflow management
- Experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions
- Deep understanding of context management and tool integration strategies within AI systems
- Strong knowledge of system design, scalability, resilience, and failure management
- Experience integrating applications using REST APIs and event-driven architectures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with vector databases and embedding-based retrieval systems
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of asynchronous messaging technologies, event streaming, queues, and pub/sub architectures
- Experience working within regulated or enterprise-scale environments
- Familiarity with modern AI frameworks, LLM ecosystems, and emerging agentic AI technologies
- Exposure to cloud-native architectures and distributed systems
Remuneration Package
Up to €800 on a Daily Rate.
