Software Engineer – Python / Go

Software Engineer – Backend / Platform – Dublin Cpl are partnering with an international cybersecurity business expanding its engineering capability in Dublin.

The successful candidate will build secure, scalable backend services and integrations for an AI-driven cyber-risk and intelligence platform.

This is a hybrid position, with approximately three days per week required in the Dublin office.

Responsibilities Build and maintain backend services, APIs, business logic and data-processing components.

Develop data models and SQL-backed integrations supporting reporting, monitoring and user workflows.

Deliver software from solution design through development, testing and release.

Improve platform performance, resilience, security and observability.

Work closely with frontend, infrastructure, data and AI/ML colleagues.

Contribute to automation, security tooling and related platform initiatives as needed.

Requirements

Strong commercial software-engineering experience, with a particular focus on backend development.

Proficiency in Python, Go/Golang and SQL.

Experience designing APIs, service architectures and relational data solutions.

Knowledge of automated testing, secure coding and modern cloud-based development practices.

Exposure to distributed systems, asynchronous processing or containerised environments is beneficial.

Full-stack capability would be advantageous.

Minimum Stamp 4 visa or equivalent unrestricted right to work in Ireland.

Must currently live within a commutable distance of Dublin.
