We are working with a leading global financial services organisation to hire a ** Senior Data Engineer ** to support critical data initiatives within their asset management division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions that support investment, research, and trading functions in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data solutions to meet complex business requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse data needs, enhance data quality, and deliver robust, performance-driven data pipelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining database solutions (Oracle)
  • Building and optimising ETL processes
  • Performing in-depth data analysis and performance tuning
  • Contributing to best engineering practices including testing and deployment
  • Delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code
  • Collaborating within an Agile development environment

Your Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience working with ** Oracle SQL and PL/SQL **
  • Strong background in ** data analysis and performance tuning **
  • Experience working in Agile environments

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of ** relational databases and data modelling **
  • Experience with ** ETL tools (Informatica preferred)**
  • Exposure to ** data warehousing concepts **
  • Familiarity with ** AWS services, Data APIs, Snowflake, or Python **(advantageous)
  • Experience with ** Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines **
  • Exposure to financial or investment domains is a plus
