We are working with a leading global financial services organisation to hire a Senior Data Engineer to support critical data initiatives within their asset management division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions that support investment, research, and trading functions in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data solutions to meet complex business requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse data needs, enhance data quality, and deliver robust, performance-driven data pipelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining database solutions (Oracle)

  • Building and optimising ETL processes

  • Performing in-depth data analysis and performance tuning

  • Contributing to best engineering practices including testing and deployment

  • Delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code

Your Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 5+ years’ experience working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

  • Strong background in data analysis and performance tuning

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of

relational databases and data modelling

  • Experience with ETL tools (Informatica preferred)

  • Exposure to

data warehousing concepts

  • Familiarity with AWS services, Data APIs, Snowflake, or Python (advantageous)

  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
