Overview

On behalf of my client I'm looking for a BI Developer to join a growing data function, working closely with a Data Engineer to deliver high-quality dashboards and reporting solutions. This role is focused on the front-end of the data stack transforming data into clear, actionable insights through intuitive visualization and strong stakeholder engagement.

You'll play a key role in improving how the business consumes data, with ownership over Tableau dashboards and reporting outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau

  • Translate business requirements into clear, user-friendly visualisations

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and iterate on solutions

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure clean, reliable data sources

  • Optimise dashboard performance and usability (load times, filters, structure)

  • Apply best practices in data visualisation, storytelling, and UX/UI

  • Ensure consistency in reporting standards, formatting, and governance

  • Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies

  • Support ongoing enhancement of existing dashboards and reports

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3-5 years' experience in BI / Data Analytics roles

  • Strong hands-on experience with Tableau (Desktop and Server or Cloud)

  • Proven track record building dashboards for business users

  • Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data

  • Experience working with structured datasets and multiple data sources

  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams
