SharePoint Engineer

12 Month Contract | Fully Remote (Ireland)

I'm currently assisting a well-established technology-focused organisation to engage an experienced SharePoint Engineer for a long-term contract assignment.

This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in SharePoint on-premises environments who enjoys working across infrastructure, automation, security, and platform optimisation projects.

Contract Details

• 12-month initial contract
• Fully remote within Ireland
• Immediate/short-notice availability preferred
• Competitive daily rate

Key Responsibilities

• Administration and support of SharePoint Subscription Edition environments
• Monitoring, maintenance, patching, and performance optimisation of SharePoint farms
• Managing supporting infrastructure including Windows Server environments and SQL integrations
• Implementing security controls and governance standards
• Developing and maintaining PowerShell automation scripts
• Supporting deployment of SharePoint solutions and platform enhancements
• Working alongside technical teams to improve collaboration and document management capabilities
• Contributing to CI/CD and DevOps-driven delivery processes
• Supporting business-critical projects and operational initiatives

Required Experience

• 7+ years supporting SharePoint on-premises environments
• Strong SharePoint farm build, configuration and administration experience
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills
• Windows Server administration expertise
• Experience working with DevOps pipelines and deployment processes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience with SPFx
• .NET development background
• React or Angular experience
• Azure identity and synchronisation technologies
• Multi-tenant Microsoft environments
